Fabulous Birthday Week

Last Monday was my birthday and my BIG present from Will and his parents arrived! It was the embroidery machine pictured below...I was/am sooo excited! Unfortunately I was sick Sunday and Monday, so I couldn't really enjoy or experiment with my new toy!
On Wednesday, the girls from work took me out to eat. Let me just tell you, I LOVE these women. They are all amazing teachers and more than that, they are awesome friends. They have this uncanny ability to turn the worst day into the best...all I have to do is go in one of their rooms and tell them about my day and then 5 minutes later I have a smile on my face and I'm ready to face the rest of the day. Needless to say, we laughed the entire dinner and were probably the loudest group in the restaurant!

To finish the week, we headed to the beach. The weather wasn't as warm as I had hoped, but we were still able to make it to the beach and play in the sand. We tried to take some family pictures, and they turned out okay, but not great. Will and I both needed this trip to the beach...we had a lot on our minds and the beach was the perfect place for us both to get some clarity.

The Daffodils

Here are just a few pictures from the daffodil fields this year. These are not the best ones, but I haven't uploaded the pictures from my other camera yet.

First Baby Outfits

As I said in a previous post, I have baby projects on the mind. Here is the first outfits I made for Mini and the newest members of our family appearing this summer!
AND
I couldn't find plain red onesies, so I had to dye them. I'm not 100% happy with the color they turned out, so I will keep looking and if I find some, I will re-do the twins' onesies!

New Baby Items

So I've become very obsessed with making baby items...I wonder why?! Other than the fact that I am pregnant, Will and I have several friends that are also pregnant; thus I've been focusing much of my time working on baby gifts and gifts for the moms! I'll post many more in the near future, but here is a onesie/burp cloth set that I made for a friend's friend.
My favorite part is the ruffle detail especially on the bum!!!

Go Big or Go Home!

Don't you just LOVE the saying "Go Big or Go Home!"...it fits in so many situations.

Let my backtrack a little bit. Soon after New Years, I found out I was pregnant. Will and I were so happy, but I was too nervous to tell anyone or let myself get too excited, because there were some special circumstances. I had been spotting since the day I found out and I let it go on for about 3 weeks. After really thinking about it, I remembered that I was rh- and required a Rhogam shot with my first pregnancy and decided that if I was having a miscarriage, I needed to know. I called the doctor and explained the situation and they wanted to see me right away. So at 7 weeks, I went to the appointment expecting very disappointing news, but instead saw this beautiful picture on the ultrasound monitor.

No...your eyes are not deceiving you...I found out I am pregnant with TWINS!!!! I was and still am in complete shock! Twins were never even on my radar! I guess God has a different plan for the Cooper household and we are so blessed that we have been given such a precious gift! Here are the twins at 11 weeks and 4 days...what a difference a few weeks make! These sweet little ones will be arriving in late summer...we can't wait to meet them! So as you can see, "Go Big or Go Home" definitely fits for our household, or at least this pregnancy!
