Doll Accessories

For Valentine's Day, Mini got these new shoes for her American Girl doll, that I purchased at AC Moore (I haven't figured out how to make shoes yet). Of course giving her doll new shoes just opened a can of worms because she wanted a matching dress.

So post Valentine's Day, I made this A-Line Dress inspired by lilblueboo. Mini loves it! If you've never seen lilblueboo's work, you must check her out...she is AMAZING!!!

Baby Gift

Continuing with my handmade gifts, I made some coordinating onesies and burp clothes for Will's cousin who has a handsome new baby boy named Owen. I'm very pleased with how they turned out and am really hoping that the new parents will be as excited as I am about them!

House Makeover

For those of you who know me, you know that I LOVE to have a yard sale. I don't know why I love them, it's not because I make a ton of money off them...I think it is the whole cleansing feeling I get when purging items. I clean out the house yearly, but last weekend, I made some BIG purges. After almost 4 years of marriage, Will and I finally decided to purchase a matching bedroom suite as well as a bigger bed. You see on Saturday mornings, Mini climbs in the bed with us as well as Frosty, our 102 pound white German Shepherd; needless to say, we have outgrown the queen size bed and were long overdue for an upgrade. I'm so excited to get rid of all the stuff that we no longer use and need, but I'm most excited about our bedroom makeover. I'll post pictures very soon.

Mini and Music

Mini LOVES music! Loves, Loves, Loves it! Her favorite songs are "Dynamite" and "All I Do is Win" and she tells everyone at school how to dance to these two songs! Apparently she now also likes drums. We went to a friend's house last weekend and she got to play on the drums...she was actually pretty good. Now, don't get any ideas...we like drums at other people's houses and ABSOLUTELY DO NOT need any at ours!

Birthday Fun

We were finally able to make one of Mini's friends birthday parties, which meant a last minute gift, so I made a personalized Car Keeper. It turned out to be the perfect gift since he was getting ready to go on a long trip! Here is the present and highlights from the party.
