Things We Love...Part III

1. Fisher Price Rock and Play Sleeper. This is one of the best inventions ever!!!! I wish it would have been around when Mini was born. We have used them rather than buying bassinets! We borrowed a bassinet when Mini was born, so we didn't have one for the boys. These are better than bassinets in my opinion because they are already angled...perfect for infants with reflux and they are significantly cheaper!!! The boys are 5 months and still sleeping in these things; although we now have to buckle them in because they have now figured out how to roll over in them!

2. Soothe&Cool Shampoo and Body Wash by Medline. This is soap the nurses used on the boys in NICU and it smells so clean and doesn't irritate their skin. The boys appear to have sensitive skin just like their sister and this product doesn't irritate their skin like everything else does. I just wish I could find it for sale locally!!

3. Remedy Skin Repair Cream by Medline. This was another product used in NICU that seems to be perfect for the boys sensitive skin. Again, why can't it be sold in a local store?! The only place I have found it at this point has been on the internet!

4. Aquaphor. An old favorite, but still just as good! Aquaphor is great for all that ails you! It works great to prevent diaper rash and chaffing and is also great at moisturizing extremely dry skin!

5. Tide Free and Gentle. I tried to quit using Baby detergent early this time. I thought that since neither of the boys had had any reaction to the detergent from my clothes that I would be fine to start using the same detergent, but I was WRONG. Soon after washing the boys clothes in regular detergent Coleson developed a mild rash. So I tried a cheaper less expensive baby detergent and Kipton developed a mild rash! Grrr! Now we are using Tide Free and Gentle, which is so much cheaper and we've had no problems at this point!

Five Months Old

December 18th, 2011
I honestly still can't believe I have twins, so you know I can't believe they are 5 months old! Each and every day gets better and better! Kipton weighs 13 lbs 14 oz and Coleson weighs 13 lbs 9 oz! They LOVE their mama!!! For those of you who know Mini, you know she is such a daddy's girl, so it's nice to finally have a child, scratch that, make that two children who are all about me, ha! We'll see how long it lasts! Although we are having the hardest time capturing smiles on camera, the boys smile ALL the time! They also laugh and laugh and laugh when tickled or sometimes even talked to! Kipton giggles at the "ABC" song and Coleson at "I'm a Little Teapot!"
Will and I are beyond blessed to have three wonderful children! God is good!

Four Months Old

November 18th, 2011
The boys are 4 months old. Although they are still small for their age, they are growing like weeds. They have rolls of baby fat that we call "sweet meat" in our house! They are very laid back, except when they are hungry or tired. Every once in a while Coleson will throw a fit which is just hilarious to me because there are no tears behind it...he's just mad, ha!!! They are very sweet boys and we are so blessed!

Three Months Old

October 18th, 2011
So I know the date on this post does not match the date, but what can I say, we were super busy! When these pictures were taken, getting the two boys to smile at the same time was difficult and when it actually did happen the dang camera didn't capture the moment fast enough, ha!

I don't think the pictures need any explanation, because after all, a picture is worth a thousand words!

Things We Love...Part II

Here is the new list of things we love...

1. Pamper's Prints. Now normally I would not buy these because they are even more expensive then the regular swaddlers, but they were on clearance this summer at Target, so I scooped up 2 boxes. They have the dry weave protection like the swaddlers, but have cute prints!

2. Robeez Socks. The boys have large feet and I have had a time with socks. They have grown out of the socks that they wore when they were little so I have been trying to find more socks that will actually stay on their feet. I found some Robeez socks at TJ Maxx for cheap and from what I had read prior on the internet, they claimed to be slip/wiggle proof! They are sooo cute and actually stay on even when the boys get in one of their "running man fits"...so I went and bought 3 more packs (18 pairs) of socks!

3. Shoe Looking Socks. I'm embarrassed to say that Mini was given 2 pairs of socks that looked like ballet shoes as an infant and we never even put them on her feet. The boys were given a few pairs of these and they also stay on their feet and are sooo cute! The boys of course are not ballet slippers, but look more like converse shoes.

4. TJ Maxx. I always find good deals at TJ Maxx, but this year especially. I found the Robeez Socks mentioned above as well as a "Green Toy" tug boat, and a JJ Cole bundle me up. All of these items were priced so below what they are in other stores that it was ridiculous!

5. Gymboree, in particular the bins at Gymboree. In a recent trip to the outlets at the beach, my mother and I went to Gymboree in a search of Christmas outfits for the kids. I went to look in the clearance bins and found tons of shirts for Mini. I bought 13 items (9 shirts for Mini, 2 shirts for the boys, and 2 skirts for Mini) for only $43...I couldn't have even made the items for that cheap!

6. The Baby Jogger City Mini. This is my stroller splurge! After researching numerous strollers, I decided I wanted to get the City Mini. It is not a "jogging" stroller which is fine, because I'm buying a friend's double jogger, and let's be completely honest, I have yet to jog anywhere in a LONG time. This stroller is a glorified double umbrella stroller, but it drives and folds like a dream! It is AMAZING! If I had to do it all over again, I would have bought the Baby Jogger City Select for Mini and then added an additional seat AND then this stroller too, ha!
